Dr. Emre Bayamlıoğlu, PhD., of counsel to Aydaş Liman Kurman, graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Law in 1997 and was admitted to the Istanbul Bar Association in 2001. He attended the Legal English Certificate Program at the Banking and Commercial Law Institute of the University of Ankara, Faculty of Law. He completed his LLM studies (Master of Laws) at the University of Southampton/UK, in International Maritime Law. He worked as an intern at the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) in the United Kingdom between October 1998 and January 1999. In 2007 he was awarded Ph.D in Private Law from Marmara University, Istanbul, with his thesis on “Technological Protection of Copyright” –Marmara University.-Istanbul.

He worked as a trainee lawyer for one of the leading attorneys in administrative litigation in Ankara. He acted as an official legal translator and independent consultant for various organisations and legal practitioners (reporting, drafting, legal translation) including Istanbul Bilgi University IT Law Research Centre, He has also worked as a Teaching Assistant in Commercial Law Department at Istanbul Bilgi University Faculty of Law He has been the website content editor of Istanbul Bilgi University IT (Information Technology) Law Research Center and the Co-ordinator for Intellectual Property Department at Istanbul Bilgi University IT Law Research Center since 2004.

Mr. Bayamlıoğlu speaks English fluently and he is an official legal translator (sworn translator) as well as being a simultaneous interpreter. He is also competent in Spanish and German languages at a professional level.
